I purchased the off road kit to smooth out the ground feel of my ride, I hated the way the cement sidewalks with the bumps feel and now they are as smooth feeling as pavement. The off road kit eats around %30 of range but it has opened up so many areas for me to go. The top speed is reduced to about 25ish mph but I rarely went faster than that anyway, and I usually cruise between 10 and 15 mph. They do extend the wheel base lengthwise providing a more flexible board which is good for dips and weird shaped paths. The turning is incredible, i did need to stiffen it up a bit but it turns much sharper than before. I was able to take some pretty steep climbs that I thought would give me trouble, and I did need to plant my back foot going up to keep traction but it handled it perfectly. If you want the smoothest ride possible for this board this is the answer, you will sacrifice range and top speed but the torque is insane and just cruising is more comfortable.
Obviously I took a hot on my range but I honestly couldn't have asked for a more comfier ride. And the turning capabilities are amazing. 5/5 highly recommend.
Bought these wheels because I wanted to do some more off roading, installation only took about 10 minutes the key tool that come with your board is all you need to remove and install the new wheels. But this exceeded expectations. At first you’ll realize it is very sensitive so I tightened the trucks up a lot, but now it’s perfect, grass,rocks heavy vegetation it dosent matter this board rips through it.
Love this kit! Had it for a few months now and it’s made a huge difference. I have two Voyagers and it’s like having two completely different boards. The double kingpins really makes it real fun for cruising. Sometimes it feels weird switching between the boards Since I get so much less range of motion on the traditional kingpins.
The kit is great it does make some weird noises and the cable fasteners don't fit but other than that it functions great its handled everything I've thrown at it it did lower my top speed but it's a trade off that's well worth it. The carving is so much better with the dkp trucks and the clearance is nuts I have the Voyager and I'm not the shortest guy standing on the board I feel so tall id definitely recommend buying it
This kit is amazing for the voyager! It rides super nice in road and off road with ease. I took it on the snow and it did great on snow as well as ice, surprisingly didn’t slide out or loose any traction in compact snow. Smooth flexible deck definitely helps the ride for sure and it has insane amount of clearance. Would definitely recommend. You get so much more out of your board, this kit is also compatible with the Meepo mudguards. Get a set of those and you’ll be absolutely set for any terrain, no more water spraying on your pants when you’re riding in the wet. (I only ride on wet roads, not in rainy weather)
Only downside is the belts slightly fall off the motor pulleys and squeak a bit.
