The price is a bit steep, but absolutely worth it. After 5.5k km my original motors weren't working properly cuz of the bearings, due to the belt tension. Now with the gear drive that's not happening. The fact that everything is sealed inside is great, no broken pullys and belts. The sound, i like it, when cruising around it's quieter and when punching it hard it's louder. Haven't noticed big differences in the range but I'd say that it's increased a bit from the lower losses in the transmission. All in all I'd recommend it if you have the money.
My favorite part of the whole electronic Skateboard MOVEMENT is the fact that not only do they haul ass, but they also have Great breaking systems

Love the gear drive!!!! Makes a great noise when riding. Sounds like a spaceship. Smoothed out the throttle a ton!!!! Feels better in many ways.
Overall the gear drive was a very nice upgrade very smooth and enjoy every second, the only issue I have is it makes a noise when I use it it’s like a squeaking noise I emailed them they told me it was normal, Not sure if it actually is but for the price i paid I should be getting a little more support.

Is this compatible with the ENVY - NLS3?
I recently acquired Meepo Voyager that was shipped from their Toronto warehouse directly to my address and when Meepo surprised me with the launch of new Gear Drive kit for the Voyager, I had to order the complete kit right away! First batch Gear Drive kit is what I received and it is flawless out of box. It was nicely packaged with air filled protective wrap with extra hardware for the kit which is nice to have as backup (I'm sure package would be done much better for next batches!). Meepo engineered the new small factor gear drive for the Voyager insanely well and I believe they are the first to offer this type of gear drive kit for their street board and it is my very first time seeing one! Pre-greased gears are all metal and it delivers that nice unique sounds when riding! After riding belt driven boards so long, it was finally nice to have something new and different. I now own gear drive street board and belt driven AT board and I'm never switching gear to belt driven on my Voyager. The noise is incredible and very unique. If I let go off of throttle, it silences the motors until I engage acceleration and braking. I don't think it's needed but I hope to see motor cover to protect the motors that came with the kit as I wouldn't want to scratch up the motors. Improvements: This gear drive kit eliminates jerkiness that was introduced on stock belt driven kit that was originally on the Voyager about 99% and it now accelerates and brakes much smoother. This should help many that was experiencing jerkiness on the Voyager and should be more safer and much more enjoyable. Cons: It adds about 6lbs to the entire board's rear side but carrying the board shouldn't be a problem. You should feel the differences when riding with this kit installed. Now that there's new M6S remote that allows riders to freely tune pretty much everything on the board from speed to acceleration, braking and much more, it should be a total game changer! I'm looking forward on experimenting with my board using new M6S remote soon! Get the complete Gear Drive kit for your Voyager if you want more smoother responses and want to swap belt to gear drive quickly and while saving extra motors on belt drive kit just in case these new motors on the kit dies later on. Do you want to hear turbo engine sounds on your board, this gear drive kit is for you!
