*Brake Mode Limitations
How it Works
The SL-R1+ must be parallel to the ground with the lens pointing opposite to the direction of movement (backwards) in order to detect the correct braking direction. When you slow down rapidly, the SL-R1+ changes from the current light mode to solid mode at full brightness for 2 seconds (or longer depending on how fast you are moving) then returns to the current light mode.
Limitations
- If the SL-R1+ is not parallel to the ground it may not provide accurate braking detection.
- Riding uphill or downhill may cause false-positive brake detection or missed brake detection.
- Vibration of the light may cause false-positive brake detection or missed brake detection.

Good stuff, Bluetooth pairing could be better - sometimes the lights don’t react at the same time even though they are supposed to be all paired to a phone/each other, but it’s not a deal breaker - turning on manually is easy. Besides that nothing to complain about.
One button press in the app without touching the lights to turn them on? Whoa. What an upgrade!

ShredLights work great! Love being able to use them at night and the braking feature where the brake lights get brighter every time you brake is a nice addition!
I bought these for my Rover. Fits great and works like they're supposed to. App set up was easy and they're definitely bright enough to make riding at night safe.
